When a town or village employs a principal architect, it acknowledges the trade of architecture, the vital significance of the local heritage and the culture of the environment. Such settlements are tidier, more attractive, reflect an architectural attention, the care of a mindful owner, and the “more dignified life” of those who live there. We present exemplary achievements of this attitude in the Apse, towns that are successful in the shaping of the built environment, and their principal architects.
