DANUBE BANK, MILLENNIUM CITY CENTRE

The new head office of K&H Bank was built in the new Millennium City Centre in Ferencváros (9th District). Already parts of the architectural concept, the green and communal spaces inside and outside the building, the roof gardens, the outdoor green walls, conservatories and ground level open spaces form a complex texture. Diverse, enjoyable and functional, the elements represent an approach that seeks to integrate the broader context. The ground plan of the latest section of the Danube bank walk can be best appreciated as part of the view available from the roof garden. The four individual water structures and the ground-floor experience of the folded ground surface receive additional meaning when viewed from the terraces in playful conjunction with contemporary triangle forms and the system of origami.
The 7200 square metre environment complies with the “Gold” requirements of LEED, the certification system most widely acknowledged in the property industry.
