KOPASZI DIKE PARK

The increasing number of positive examples encourage clients to demand high-quality environments, and stimulate designers to keep reinventing themselves. The competition to make “something new, something different, something better” can provide contemporary landscape architecture with breakout opportunities, which, when coupled with social responsibility, can be of real benefit for the community. The Kopaszi Jetty is certainly one such opportunity with regard to the shaping of communal spaces along the Danube.
Lágymányos Bay is a good example of the shaping of communal spaces along the Danube. It is the result of a concentrated, 20-hectare intervention by an investor. Providing multiple uses, the novel riverside park became one of Budapest’s highly regarded recreation facilities, a place to make friends and build communities.
