New Ornamentalism and the Decorative Tradition

The ornamentation of organic architecture, which upholds the folk tradition, is converging with such newly emerging trends in ornamentation that are supported by computer-aided parametric design. We present photos in the light boxes to demonstrate this new process, which started with the Art Nouveau of Hungary, transformed in classical Modernism, and is again assuming a new form. Hungarian architecture, now suddenly in an advantageous position, may benefit from this situation if the artists, the public and the media all recognize that architecture is architecture, and quality is quality.
